Jigs & Fixtures

Jigs and fixtures are essential tools used in manufacturing and assembly processes to enhance precision, efficiency, and repeatability. While they are often used interchangeably, they serve distinct purposes.

  • Jigs: Devices that hold the workpiece and guide the tool during operations like drilling, milling, or cutting. Jigs ensure that the tool moves in the correct path relative to the workpiece, improving accuracy.
  • Fixtures: Devices that securely hold and support the workpiece during manufacturing. Unlike jigs, fixtures do not guide the tool; instead, they provide a stable base, allowing for various machining operations.
